Created in collaboration with Holocene Distilling Project’s Crème Violette liqueur, the fragrance incorporates their blueberry brandy alongside my white cognac absolute as a quiet nod to the spent fruits and oak barrels of local winemaking and distilling. These subtle accords lend a gentle fruity warmth that enriches, rather than defines, the perfume’s floral heart.

Viola Amicorum unfolds with the romantic allure of purple flowers: soft violet, powdered heliotrope, elegant orris, and delicate floral nuances illuminated by a cool violet leaf accord. The emerald opening carries the fleeting impression of absinthe—an enchanting illusion of the Green Fairy—before giving way to a heart of powdered violet, delicate florals, and gentle fruit warmth. It evokes the candlelit Victorian salons of the Belle Époque, where botanical apéritifs, poetry, conversation, and quiet rituals lingered long into the evening

Batch VA26-2 features a particularly expressive violet leaf absolute from Egypt, lending the opening a cooler emerald freshness and a subtle whisper of the Green Fairy before settling into the perfume’s familiar powdered violet heart
