SKULL ALTAR CANDLE - pure beeswax

SKULL ALTAR CANDLE - pure beeswax
Skull Altar Candle
Bones symbolize life, death and transformation, holding the fertile potential of the dark earth from which all life rises. Ancestral altars often feature remains for their connection to the spirit world, and their property as a spirit vessel.
This candle was designed by a local Vancouver Island artist; hand molded and poured in our studio. Lovingly made by order.
Each skull burns slowly and deliberately, softening from the crown downward. As the wax deepens, the flame begins to illuminate the eye sockets and hollows, casting a golden, honeyed light from within — a quiet meditation on transformation and the light that remains.
For best results, burn for 3 to 4 hours at a time, allowing the wax pool to reach its full diameter before extinguishing. Once the wax begins to soften around the sockets, snuff out the flame carefully to preserve the form. The skull will retain its shape, creating a natural hollow — a perfect vessel to cradle a tea light or beeswax votive for continued glow.
Each piece carries the pure scent of beeswax — cleansing, grounding, and protective.

If the flame begins to smoke, extinguish and trim the wick slightly shorter before relighting.
To preserve sculptural detail, extinguish once the wax softens near the eye sockets
